It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
Happy Thanksgiving! Or have they forgotten there's actually a holiday in between Halloween and Christmas?
Ours was uneventful this year. We're going to be moving, so it's not that restful a time for us. We're cleaning the new place, packing and cleaning the old place, trying to spend time with family, Christmas shopping, and last but not least --- end of semester projects and homework!
Why is there so much to do at the end of the semester? Why was it not spread out over the whole darned time vs. piling it on at the very end? I can't understand instructors sometimes. It's quite aggravating. It seems as though they feel that their students are only in ONE class with nothing better to do than homework and new projects. There are plenty of us out there with other jobs, families, things going on in our lives that hinder our abilities to sit around for hours and hours just doing homework.
I've been thinking about dropping down to part-time for the Spring semester. I'm burnt out. Worrying about money, school, life, homework -- all of the normal things. I've considered just taking on a full-time job and part-time school vs. the other way around. Work is less stressful than school! Go in everyday and do something mindless.
I'm still debating -- haven't made a solid decision quite yet.
I've already registered for classes, so I may have to alter my schedule and drop down.


I'm almost done Christmas shopping. I ventured out today so that I could get a select few sale items. Fighting the crowds is definitely not my style. I've worked in the retail business enough to know the ilk of people that day after Thanksgiving shop. Not lumping them ALL together, but the majority of shoppers are hard-core looking for a specific item and are not satisfied until they've found it -- or else have made everyone miserable with their griping about not finding it.

I think that may be it for now.
