Finally.
Book buyback starts tomorrow.
After spending over $1000 on books between my husband and myself - I'm hoping to get $100 back.
Okay, I'm being cynical.
I'm not sure if I'm going to take summer classes this year or not.
I have an internship, but I'm pretty sure I could transfer that over to the Fall and just get a part-time job for the summer for some spending/living money. Maybe advertise my business a bit more and get some more clients.
I have 2 now that are taking up all of my time. But, that's okay! It's money! And good money for the amount of time I have to spend on it. Less money than they'd spend going elsewhere, but when you're starting out, you have to underbid in order to get the business. Then you build up the clientele and portfolio - and get bigger and better jobs. Yay.
This was my first time having to deal with a large company and getting paid via PO. Net30 are the terms, so it's not too shabby. sooner I bill them, the sooner I get paid. W00t.
I've got a Halo2 clan that I'm redoing the site for. It just keeps getting larger and larger. I have a partner in crime though. We're called the Mexican Cuisine Aesthetics Committee. But, you'd have to know my GamerTag in order to understand that joke. Once it's up for the public, I'll puy up a new link for it.
I've been honing my Photoshop and ImageReady skills this semester. The NET class for digital images, etc. was definitely helpful and I loved it. But, nothing beats experience and teaching yourself new tricks. I do believe this summer I will end up purchasing a drawing tablet/stylus pad thingy. I will probably get Illustrator to go with it. Lots of programs out there, and lots of people wanting custom logos which would be easier to draw by hand.
Hmm.. what else is there?
This was a nice weekend.
Darke county - always windy.
Except when I take my kids to buy kites at K-mart and head home - to the backyard and into the field. No freaking wind. What are the chances?
We went to a few of the parks. Fed the geese/ducks. Played some Cornhole. Played some basketball. Played on the swings and slides. It was a good day.
Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.
Take care.
